Job Description:
The successful candidate will be Sr. Programmer Analyst for the ORION map and optimization components team. ORION is a large-scale software development effort to bring static optimizations of driver routes into the currently distributed suite of applications. The system will incorporate the development of new components and integration into applications distributed in UPS destination buildings and will interface with new data center applications.
The Senior Programmer Analyst is needed to work with six major development groups and business users to coordinate completion of the project and report at a program level. Experience with integrated scheduling, status reporting and the tracking of earned value will be needed. The ability to negotiate compromises to risks and issues and hold groups accountable is required.
Individuals should possess good communication skills and be comfortable reporting to upper management. A technical background and experience in full project lifecycle is required. Knowledge of UPS operations is a plus.

Education:
The desired Sr. Programmer Analyst will possess a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience. Work experience = 5-8+ years in systems analysis and application program development, experience leading small development projects.
