Description
As a senior member of the embedded system team, the Staff Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of embedded software for medical devices and medical instrumentation in the field of Flow Cytometry. Successful candidates will thrive on applying scientific problem solving skills to embedded software development and work in an interactive and collaborative development environment where overcoming technical challenges is routine.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* A minimum of a BS degree * A minimum of 8 years experience developing real-time embedded software and/or firmware * A minimum of 3 years development experience with C++ required.
Assets:
* Individuals with C# experience are desired. * VxWorks, Micrium or similar RTOS internals and/or device drivers development preferred * Experience with programming microcontroller (TI and/or ADI DSP, ARM, ColdFire, x86) * Individuals with an MS in computer science or electrical engineering preferred * Knowledge with Windows XPe, and open source projects * Experience with PCI Express, USB, LCD and touch screens is a plus * Basic knowledge of network protocols: IP, UDP, TCP and Ethernet * Good familiarity and hands on experience with UML methodology is a plus * Experience with tools like: DOORS; Design tools; Rhapsody, UML * Hands on knowledge of logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and debuggers * Track record of estimating and completing software development tasks on time * Self-motivated, independent and comfortable working in a team environment * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Previous bio medical/biotech experience is a plus
