Strategic Planning & Business Analysis Manager
Responsibilities:
Participate in the compilation of all Financial Forecasts, including the annual plan/budget, quarterly plan updates (bottoms up forecasts) and monthly plan updates (high level forecasts) for volume, revenue and trade spend line items
Support detailed level plan and forecasts and associated analytics
Reconciliation & analysis of forecasts to actual and prior forecast / plan
Review and align actual and forecast data to financial planning system
Compile risks and opportunities summary, working with field finance to manage risks and secure opportunities
Support financial decision support and insight around key metrics and P&L review
Deliver quality reporting and Business Health Reviews on a monthly basis
Promote financial awareness and understanding across finance department
Provide effectiveness analytics and timely reporting
Work with other departments to complete plans, provide decision support, analyze variances, and / or better ensure financial statement integrity / accuracy
Manage Volume, Revenue and Trade Spend P&L line items
Monthly actual analytics and commentary including RIG and Price Investment
Variance Analytics to include plan and forecast metrics
Support monthly reporting package(s)
Communicate P&L results
Support key analytics for business partners
Ad- Hoc requests
Participate in special projects
Requirements:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or Finance
8 - 15 years of responsibility in Finance / Accounting with at least 5 years of combined Financial Planning / Decision Support experience in a CPG Company
Strong understanding of forecasting and planning in a consumer and customer-oriented environment
Advanced system and modeling skills
Strong Excel skills including proficiency in pivot table and database functions
Proficient in Essbase or other multi-dimensional modeling tools
Hands-on approach to business; not reluctant to “roll-up sleeves” and get involved in all aspects of the business
Strengths around: leadership, management, teaming, relationship building, problem solving, communication (verbal and written), outside the box thinker, adaptability, working under pressure
