Description
The Structured Day Program Technician performs functions which support individuals with traumatic brain injuries to develop/re-learn skills outlined in the individual’s individualized treatment plan. The Structured Day Program Technician provides services which support the development of skills relating to the valued outcomes of those served. Position includes:
1. Assisting in planning, organizing, and facilitating structured therapy groups for clients in the Structured Day Program. 2. Ability to independently research and prepare group materials. 3. Participating in development of individualized client treatment plans and behavior management plans. 5. Ability to operate basics of the structured day program in the manager's absence. 6. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High School Diploma required and an understanding of brain injury and resulting issues preferred. Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to use personal car for transporting consumers. Strong interpersonal skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Must constantly move about; ability to push, pull, and lift objects of at least 40 pounds. Able to crouch, kneel, stoop, reach, turn, handle, and manipulate necessary equipment in order to provide self-care/ home management training to clients may be required. Must be able to demonstrate leadership, creativity, flexibility and knowledge of cognitive remediation and puter competency. Is sensitive to cultural differences and able to incorporate that understanding into service provision.
