Elliott offers a variety of paid summer internship opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in the rotating equipment industry.

Elliott turbo machinery is custom engineered to meet specific application and process needs for our customers around the world. Our employees, many of them published, renowned experts in their fields, include engineers, machinists/welders, designers/drafters, sales engineers and field service personnel. Together they design, manufacture, sell and service Elliott steam turbines, compressors, gas expanders and auxiliary systems for a global marketplace.

Responsibilities:

All internships consist of three components:

  • Individual projects to own and complete for real world hands-on experience;
  • Busy work (so you don’t get bored);
  • Exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of Elliott engineers and company leadership including participation in company and customer meetings and job shadowing.

Interns are required to prepare and present an end of summer presentation summarizing their projects and learning experiences.

This individual will be responsible for projects including training programs, sales tool kids, supply compliance, patterns, supply performance score cards, and more.



Requirements:

Qualifications:

Candidates should be completing their sophomore or junior year of college.

Students should have a strong work ethic and desire to learn and apply their engineering training. Interns are expected to take ownership of projects and work independently with minimal direct supervision. Must be willing to offer fresh perspectives and share practical solutions to resolve engineering issues. Strong database management and programming skills are desired for many internship assignments.
