Major Job Duties Include: This position is for a resident engineer supporting Radar based driver assistance systems (Adaptive Cruise Control, safety functions (warning, brake support, autonomous braking). This job requires presence at the client in Auburn Hills, MI 3 days/week after a period of training at the Bosch facility in Plymouth, MI. *Provide on-site support at the client in Auburn Hills for 3 days/week *Interface role between Bosch global development team (project management, Engineering, sales, and management) and the client (DA engineers, plants, management) *Facilitate communication and discuss/investigate issue resolution with customer; help determine the root cause of any anomaly in the behavior of the embedded control system, including vehicle, hardware, software, or development tools. This involves working with various customer departments (diagnostic, flash support, transmission, power train, brakes, garage technicians, plant). *Assist customer in vehicle integration, flashing, testing (bench and vehicle level testing) and debugging (alignment, error management, performance check, diagnostics). *Assist customer in plant support and customer diagnostics. *Participate in development trips as needed. *Participate in specification reviews, team meetings, and all relevant meetings at customer (Packaging, testing, diagnostic).
Minimum Job Requirements Include: *BS degree in Engineering (Automotive, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Mechatronic). *Good understanding of vehicle CAN network and diagnostics. *Hands-on (mechanical or electrical) type of experience. *Capable of multitasking and to work independently in an organized and structured fashion. *Good analytical skills with systematic approach to problem resolutions. *Good communication skills. *Willing to travel (up to 4 weeks/year) & participate in test drives. *Dynamic and responsive. *Dependable and reliable. *Honest. *Self motivated, self-driven.
Desired: *Software programming related experience. *Previous Chrysler experience. *Experience with planning, conducting, evaluation & documentation of test results. *Familiar with Vector tools. *Transmission/Engine/Brake/HMI related automotive experience. *Diagnostics experience. *CAD tooling (e.g. Teamcenter), capability to review 3D data.
