Systems Engineer
Position requires current TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph. Boeing is seeking talented Systems Engineers as members of a technical team composed of multiple contractors and government personnel. General responsibilities include design, development, testing, delivering, operations and maintenance of information technology for a proprietary intelligence community customer. Specific job responsibilities include: a) Provide input to and execute work according to the Statement of Work; b) Use various development methods from waterfall to agile, participate in periodic technical reviews, present status of work performed, identify and resolve problems, and capture opportunities; c) Prepare the required documentation to include briefings, white papers, technical manuals, reports and operating instructions as directed by the customer; d) Translate detailed design into computer software, test, debug and refine the software to produce the required product; e) Interface between users and programmers for writing of programs with intuitive interfaces and output, efficient algorithms using common and complex computational structures; f) Aiding the programmer and user in the diagnoses and debugging of problems. Specific skills required include experience in the following: a) Ten or more years as a System Engineer applying one or several techniques related to requirements management, design and modeling, milestone reviews, testing, development and delivery, b) at least 1 year of experience with software languages and scripting with 1 or more of the following C++, Perl, Python, GCI, Java and J2E, Unix scripting; c) Common software configuration management tools and techniques such as Subversion, SharePoint, Lotus Notes, and Lotus Database; d) Computer Aided Software Engineering tools (e.g., Rational Rose, Rhapsody, Unified Modeling Language/UML). Position is contingent on contract award (anticipated January 2012) and customer security approval. Occasional overtime may be required.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 5 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
