We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team in our Orange facility.
The Technical Training Specialist will provide the necessary technical training for Connecticut Natural Gas (CNG) and Southern Connecticut Gas (SCG) employees. Provide regulatory and required training as necessary. Training may include first aid, driver and safety topics. Fulfills all training needs for both the service and distribution departments. Ensures all field employees receive the requisite amount of training to perform their job duties. Develops and delivers the annual training requirements for all field employees. Responds to all emergency situations as needed, and provides on-call coverage as scheduled. Maintains all training records for gas operations as required. Performs training for Fire Departments and other public agencies. Develops lesson plans, attendance and tracking programs to insure training is delivered as required.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management, Behavioral Sciences, Communication or Education. 8-10 years of experience with gas utilization equipment required. An Associate's Degree may be considered for candidates that bring at least 10 years of directly related experience. State of CT S-1 or S-2 license is required. Gas industry operations experience is required. Technical knowledge in gas utilization, pipe product, appliance service and repairs and customer service skills. Strong knowledge of electricity and capable of interpreting schematic wiring diagrams and training employees on same. Able to deliver training to both small and large audiences.
