Telecommunications Technician-Nortel/Support - Troubleshoot/Core Xa-Core
Wireless Telecom client has an immediate need for a "multiple" Technical Support Engineers for north Texas. Will support the Field Engineers and Clients concerning deployment and any issues involving dropped calls, set up, hand offs and more. Need 5+ years exp. with Core and Xa-Core in a troubleshooting capacity. Need a strong background with NORTEL infrastructure and wireless. 6-12+ month long contract with opp. to go perm. Responsibilities:
-> Telecom support will be 80% of the job and the other 20% will be in providing technical guidance/mentor
-> Provides shift schedule technical support to customers, partners & resellers
-> Technical support is focused on a combination of debugging, problem duplication & testing to analyze, identify and resolve complex technical issues
-> Provide technical support services related to the deployment (Build, Test and Integration) and installation of telecom products and solutions
-> Recommends problem resolution plans by developing trouble-shooting methodology, furnishing proper system configurations, and recommending appropriate tools for problem resolution with no impact to Customer networks
Requirements:
-> Prior experience in Technical Support, Product Support or Network Integration
-> Knowledgeable with CORE & XA-Core product line in a troubleshooting capacity
-> 5+ years of Technical Support (TAS) experience with Core Data related products
-> Background in Nortel/Ericcson - >Data/IP Routing and Networking
-> Working knowledge of layered communication structures, networking architectures, protocols & telecommunication specifications, and operating systems
-> Must be local to Texas or eager to come to the state
