Telecommunications Technician-PDSN/Technical Support/Nortel
Global Wireless client needs several Technical Support professionals for their northern Texas location. Nortel / PDSN background. tel / CDMA Access background. Must know Nortel Infrastructure. Will support both Field Engineers and Customers. Troubleshooting. Deployments, dropped calls, routing issues, handoffs. 6-12+ month long contract assignment. Need candidates near Texas, desire to move just wanting to get back home. Great company! Day shift and night shifts.
Responsibilities:
-> Telecommunications support will be approximately 80% of the job
-> 20% of position involves providing technical guidance/mentor to the support engineers
-> Provides tech. support to clients customers, partners & resellers
-> Will perform a combination of debugging, problem duplication & testing to analyze, identify & resolve highly complex technical issues (for customer)
-> Technical support services related to the deployment (Build, Test and Integration) and installation of clients Telecom products
-> Recommends problem resolution plans by developing trouble-shooting methodology, furnishing proper system configurations, and recommending appropriate tools
-> Problem resolution is only acceptable when there is no impact to the Customers network
Requirements:
-> Nortel Infrastructure and a solid CDMA background and or EVDO and PDSN
-> Five + years in Technical Support, Product Support or Network Integration
-> Data/IP Routing and Networking experience
-> Knowledge of layered communication structures, networking architectures, protocols & telecommunication specifications & operating systems
