Territory Manager - Dental Products




Our client, Coltene Whaledent, is a leading dental products manufacturer.� Products are manufactured in Europe and at corporate headquarters in Ohio.� We sell our diverse product line through distributors and not directly to dentists.� Distributors have their own sales representatives that call on dentists, usually once every two weeks.� Distributors, national and local, stock Coltene Whaledents products along with many competing manufacturers.� The job of the Territory Manager is to gain the support of these distributor reps so they sell more Coltene Whaledent products, ultimately increasing market share.�


A minimum of three days per week is spent co-traveling (riding) with distributor reps. These reps typically have established relationships with the dental offices they take you in.� This increases your chances of presenting your products to the dentist rather than relying upon cold calling.� Ultimately, besides selling the dentist, you want the distributor rep educated and supportive of the products you are showing.



Other weekly responsibilities include:






  • Manage local distributors with returns, advertising and sales meetings

  • Conduct Lunch & Learns with dental offices and clinics

  • Manage University and school business

  • Follow-up and dealer rep support

  • Manage customer base through CRM



The territory involves responsibilities covering parts of Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.� 3-4 travel days per month is expected,



The starting salary range is $60,000 $65,000, depending on experience.� Commissions available are approximately $31,000 per year, broken into quarters.� We offer a $600 car allowance, mileage and all other business related expenses.� Home office is a requirement.� We offer medical and dental insurance following your first 30 days.� 401k is available after your first 90 days.



Training is four weeks, with a two-week break in the middle.� This is done in our home office in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.� You will learn the basics of dentistry, along with product details and sales presentation skills.






Requirements:

Minimum two-years prior outside sales experience preferred.� Dental experience preferred but not mandatory.
