Test Engineer

We are seeking two highly-ambitious Test Engineers who will be based in our Automotive Research and Development Center in Windsor, Ontario.

The Test Engineer is responsible forsetting up and conducting the steering system and interior components performance measurements and durability tests,interfacing with design and release engineers and other lab team members for overall process consensus and products continuous improvement, workingwith technicians for test set ups and equipment maintenance. The responsibilities include managing testing sample logistics,setting up tests, designing fixtures and supervising fabrication, developing drive file or block testing programs, programming testing machine, conducting tests, analyzing data and generating reports, developing measurement loops to identify issues, maintaining testing equipment,understanding testing sample working behavior and assess their performance and durability life and supply technical reports.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Applied Sciencein Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in testing
• Knowledge of Vector Calculus, Kinematics, Forces & Moments static and Dynamic Calculus
• Understanding of Design, GD&T, machining, and strength of materials
• Well rounded automotive knowledge
• Experience with transducers, types, performance, integration in measurement systems, calibration and maintenance, data acquisition and instrumentation and data processing
• Proficiency in Excel and Visual basic programming, Motion control, PLC, LabViw programming, FlexTest and AutoCAD
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree preferred
