Trade Control Specialist 5

Leads the development of company international trade control regulatory policy positions in coordination with key enterprise stakeholders. Primary focus on non-U.S. trade controls and customs regulatory policy, the incumbent also supports U.S. trade control policy activities, as assigned. Develops arguments and responses to external inquiries to support company's position on trade control policy matters both in the U.S. and abroad. Participates in industry advocacy groups and engages, as assigned, with government representatives (US and foreign) to favorably shape the global trade controls environment. Monitors trends in government and industry, anticipates potential changes and recommends approaches. Assists the Sr. Mgr. GTC in combining the multiple elements of global trade control requirements into a comprehensive enterprise global trade control strategy. Identifies, documents, develops and deploys regulatory documentation for high profile and/or precedent setting activity with significant business risk and/or sensitive policy issues involving industry partners, subsidiaries, joint ventures and multiple regulatory agencies.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have experience analyzing complex global trade control policy issues and preparing written positions based on that analysis for senior company executives or government regulators?

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree and typically 15 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information
An ability to obtain an interim and/or final clearance (post-start) is required for this position - US Citizenship Required or equivalent (Refer to Security Clearance Definitions link above). The selected candidate must: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess strong interpersonal skills, interface and collaborate effectively, and establish positive and productive relationships with personnel at all levels within the company. Perform work with minimal direction and exercise initiative in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Be adept at working in a changing environment and possess strong Project Management, analytical, and Microsoft Office skills. Execute special projects as necessary.
