Primary Description
We are looking for a Mid to Senior level Voice and Data Engineer for our client in Harrisburg/Hershey PA area. This is a contract position for 12+ months and the client has expressed an interest in converting this contractor to direct full time employment mid-year. Culture is fast-paced and growing. Eagerness to learn and take on new projects is essential.
Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years' experience designing, implementing and maintaining voice-capable TCP/IP networks using Cisco or other enterprise-class equipment.
Extensive knowledge of enterprise Ethernet, VLANs, QOS, routing, switching and IP addressing.
Understanding of carrier technologies including T1/E1/PRI, ISDN, MPLS, metro Ethernet and systems interconnectivity.
Hands-on experience installing, managing, upgrading and troubleshooting enterprise-class voice systems specifically Cisco Voice technologies including Call Manager, Call Manager Express, and WebEx.
Experience managing Cisco hardware including (but not limited to) ASA firewalls, Routers, L3 & L2 switches, wireless controllers, etc.
Design implementation of advanced voice technologies such as carrier SIP trunking.
Experience with similar technologies including (but not limited to) Avaya, Asterisk, Lync, etc.
