Lead the identification and development of new potential growth opportunities for Assurant and to work collaboratively with the businesses to support the development of the business strategies and adjacent (box 2) market expansion and identification of new growth opportunities. In addition, lead the thinking that helps answer key strategic questions for the company by developing insights that challenge and inform, help the company make better decisions regarding key execution elements of our strategy including influencing the business and markets we chose to grow in. Scope and Responsibilities Lead the building of new strategic opportunities or work on previously identified growth and strategic initiatives/opportunities by analyzing industry, business or consumer needs and trends for Assurant and at the request of the businesses Leads the identification of projects and manages and prioritizes the project pipeline Propose and validate potential business opportunities by analyzing market, understanding and identifying future growth platforms and encourage investments in new and potentially disruptive innovation Implement proven processes that lead to market segmentation, value proposition development, product positioning, pricing strategy, distribution strategy, etc. in relation to strategic goals. Provides an external lens or an alternative point of view to challenge ideas and see new opportunities for the businesses and Assurant Works collaboratively with the management in business units, corporate and Assurant executives to evaluate and advocate for optimal solutions Identifies key changes necessary to support new growth and a culture across the company that supports ambitious financial growth goals. Apply a disciplined process to develop requirements, size/revenue potential, options, and competition in order to recommend action including the development of strategic context, rationale, business case and framework for pursuit or rationale for not pursuing. Brings a new perspective that leverages internal and external expertise, market research, technology and intellectual property to validate and build strategy. With management and generate and communicate customized strategies following in-depth analysis of all key variables associated and build actionable roadmap.
