Duties: Producing - Involved in all production elements of a show as assigned: including editorial, segment producing, writing, bookings, video and graphics. This includes pitching, researching and planning guest segments and/or packages as needed; help coordinate segments in the control room to ensure the most effective execution on-air. Handling logistics of production and editing as needed. Desk top edit elements for the show as needed. Line producing as needed. Adhere to CNN standards and practices. Help increase editorial depth and on-air diversity of content. Be an effective team leader in regard to editorial decision making, attitude and conduct. Have calm and organized control room behavior.
Writing - Write compelling conversational and accurate copy for air, including proper banners, fonts and courtesies. Consistently ensure that the entire show has strong and compelling banners. Write compelling and engaging teases. Copy Edit as needed.
Pitching - Consistently pitch and execute stories that meet the show's mission and make air. Consistently help identify and execute stories that will attract, engage and retain the audience.
Social Media - Contribute to the social media strategy of the show including writing articles for based on show content as needed. Pitch and execute new ideas for engaging the audience online
