Duties: Confirming the type of brick scheduled to be made with the supervisor, referencing Harmar Production Details; Ensuring that power is on to material excavator(s) and mixing circuit equipment and that they are otherwise ready to run; Clearing any system faults from extruder computer according to training, acknowledging any faults; Ensuring that necessary texturing and coatings equipment is in “automatic” mode and functioning properly. Communicating with Coatings Preparer to confirm readiness; Sizing the column according to training or specific instructions from supervisor or Setter Operator; Ensuring that column texture and coatings are adequate per experience or specific instructions from the supervisor, referencing the Product Specifications Sheet and the Product Texture Visual Reference; Communicating with Setter Operator, Coatings Preparer and Supervisor to maintain product consistency, texture and size; Checking column hardness with penetrometer at least once every two hours of run time, maintaining firmness between ••••• and ••••• according to training; Recording penetrometer readings, column length and squareness on the Extruding QA Report, making note of any out-of-tolerance measurements and making necessary adjustments to maintain process within established tolerances
