PROJECTS
Nationwide ~ National Billing Platform Conversion
Project Lead
I spent a lot of time analyzing their current system which was IMS based. This IMS system was currently working off of twenty-four platforms that had hundreds of Cobol records. Nationwide wanted to downsize the twenty-four platforms to less than four. In this IMS environment I had to analyze all the data and the goal was to capture all record fields in order to eliminate redundancy and help structure a new platform that will be run in a National Billing Platform (NBP) environment. The primary technology use in the project was Cobol.
Techneglas ~ Database Web Interface Project
Project Lead
Techneglas was in need of a new tracking system that will be able to not only store information, but also generate reports useful to management. A team including myself developed a database using access, which then was converted to sequel server. The completed reports now allows Techneglas management to determine where a mode resides, how long it would take to complete a cycle and determine the condition of each mode whether it was in use, dirty, etc. The technology used for the front end is ASP, HTML, VB Script and a few Java Applets. •••••
