As a summer student at UPM I participated in the following projects:
•Created a monthly production spreadsheet – which compared product grades, product weights, and monthly production of all product grades and weights.
•Paper coating recovery system – which determined the losses in paper coating during a machine break, and what could be changed to decrease the amount of losses.
•Pulp Bleaching Survey – which determined the amount of bleach used on certain grades of pulp, and how decreasing the amount of bleach used affected the product with regards to the production standards.
