I am seeking a position with a company that would make full use of my talents in Computer Networks, and my experience in Maintenance. I had been employed by Nestle for eight years, five of which had been as the Information Technologies Coordinator for Process Control at two of their Pet Food factories in Saint Joseph, Missouri. During that time I had been through the Y2K process as the coordinator of both Process Control and Administration, converted both factories from token ring to Ethernet, and replaced all of the Process Control computers, over fifty, including two servers. I have been involved in every aspect of information technology for both factories, including the WAN that connected Saint Joseph with all other Nestle Plants throughout the world.
While at Friskies I also implemented an intranet site that showed active real time screens to the factory floor, along with reports for the quality department using Active Server Pages, asps that would gather the information from the sequel server database fed from the real time plcs on the process floor. The experience I had with setting up the data SCADAs and view nodes gave me the ability to tie in all of the needed information to make the web a useful tool for all of the managers. I was the Domain administrator for the Process Control in both of the factories and set up all of the peripheral devices associated with the computers on that domain. I was also responsible for all of the PLC installs, upgrade, and maintenance. There were over sixty Modicon PLCs, between the two plants. As one of two technologies coordinators, I was also the back-up for the administration ITC.
