TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Positions have included junior operator, senior operator, control room operator, commissioning/start-up supervisor and commissioning/start-up manager.
Have participated in many grass-roots start-ups of various plants. This includes the pre-commissioning-punch listing, equipment check-out, procedure writing and commissioning-line flushing, utilities commissioning, pump run-ins, oil flushing, compressor commissioning and start-up which involves the actual first-time running of the plant.

Commissioning/start-up manager of two cogeneration plants, one in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, one in Geismar, Louisiana and one coal beneficiation plant in Gillette, Wyoming

TEAMWORK/COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Worked in a team orientated system for Alberta Gas Ethylene Company (now Nova) in Red Deer, Alberta for six years. We were trained in interpersonal self development and team work. The system allowed the teams nearly complete autonomy in self management.
Wrote standard operating procedures and start-up procedures for various companies, including Nova, Syncrude, ABB Lummus in Houston, Texas, Shell Oil Firebag at the Calgary offices and from my home and a Romanian job supplying utilities to a Coca-Cola plant.
