WORK EXPERIENCE

August, ••••• Present- Nevada Department of Transportation
I am presently working as a six month temporary Highway Construction Aid in Alamo, Nevada. I assist the head mechanic in his duties, such as, P.M.s on equipment, repairing any breakdowns, and coming to Las Vegas for parts as neccessary.

June, ••••• August, ••••• - Radtke Tile & Marble, AutoCAD Draftsman
Utilizing AutoCAD •••••, StoneCAD Digitizer
I work for a marble fabrication and installation company in Carson City. When I first started their were 3 draftsman, 1 mechanical, (hand draftsman), and 2 AutoCAD Draftsmen. Since then, their workload has more than doubled but they have cut their draftsman crew down to one, me. Before letting the others go they took me aside and explained that my speed, knowledge, and attention to detail made the other two draftsmen unnecessary and asked if I would be comfortable handling the workload. It has been, at times, a little hectic, but I have never missed a deadline so far.

Oct. •••••May ••••• - Underground Miner, Dynatec, Ken Snyder Mine, Midas, Nevada
Responsible for operating equipment in underground mine, in order to advance the heading in the tunnel by drilling, loading explosives, blasting, and providing ground support needed to make it a safe working area.

Oct. •••••Nov. ••••• - Lead man /Underground Miner, Getchell Gold, Winnemucca, Nevada
Supervised employees to ensure overall safety and productivity. Performed all functions of underground mining
.
••••• - Shift boss/Lead man/ Underground Miner, Dynatec Mining Corporation, Noranda Mining Corporation, Echo Bay Mining Company, Union Carbide Mining Corporation, among others in Nevada, Hawaii, Alaska, Montana, and Utah. Responsible for the safety and well being of fellow crew members, along with the cost efficient productivity of the mine. Operated electric and hydraulic jumbo drills, muckers, and other equipment used in the mining operation in order to follow an ore vein or to construct highway and railroad tunnels.

I might add that these last two aspects (the highway and railroad tunnels) were to be within Governmental requirements (specs) to a 1/•••••th. Please be aware that we were using dynamite, (explosives), in order to meet those requirements. •••••% of the underground miners that I have had tried working with could never understand the meaning of how to keep within those required limits. My life in the working field was spent, on my knowledge and understanding, of those limits. I was a very well know person, along with a fellow crew, of 4 or 5 fellow, diggers. I realize that I have moved away from the original meaning of this resume but I do believe the I have proven my worth as not only as an employee, but also as a person as well.
