EXPERIENCE
MS Thesis Project:
Construction Technique and Strength of Connected Regolith Bag Structures-
Constructed a Lunar Structure Prototype for NASA, made out of bags filled with regolith (lunar soil), in the shape of catenary.
Various prototypes were constructed from different bag shapes and sizes to determine the optimum design.
3D models of structures were first constructed in Solid Edge and then physical prototypes were made based on the 3D model
Funicular Polygons were constructed for each prototypes to determine the stability under different load conditions
MSC Marc, MSC Nastran/ Patran were used to construct finite element models to determine the stability
MSC Working Model, MSC Adams View were used to test virtual prototypes models of the structure.

Graduate Research Associate: Auburn University, AL. Worked under Dr. David Beale on my thesis. Have worked on the following projects under him:
Deployment of Tethers in space using MSC. ADAMS: Worked on optimizing the design of a model made in MSC ADAMS used for deploying of tethers in space.
Designing of a Braiding Machine using Solid Edge: Constructed individual parts of a braiding machine and then assembled them together in Solid Edge.

Graduate Teaching Assistant: Auburn University, AL. Teaching Assistant for Senior Design Project where I worked with senior year students and helped them in completing their term projects. Also responsible for grading students based on their performance.
PROJECTS
IN AUBURN
••••• Study of Thermography Technique for Material Testing, Auburn University, Fall •••••: Carried out a literature search on the technique of non destructive testing of materials using Thermography. The history, theory and applications of the technique was studied in detail
••••• Design and analysis of Automobile Suspension using MSC Visual Nastran 4D, Auburn University, Spring •••••: Parts of an automobile suspension were designed in Solid Edge and assembled. This assembly was imported into Visual Nastran 4D where motion was introduced into the assembly and effect of different type of loadings was observed.
••••• Design and analysis of an Oil Rig using Working Model Spring •••••: 2D model of an Oil rig (Pump Jack) was designed in Working Model using simple geometric elements. After applying various loads acting on the rig, its motion was studied and optimized.
••••• Finite Element Modeling, Spring •••••: Stress analysis of a plate with a hole in center was performed using Ansys. A code was also developed in Matlab to develop the element stiffness matrix of a Q9 element
IN INDIA
••••• In process tool condition monitoring using current signals, Jan •••••May •••••: A device was constructed to detect the amount of wear and tear on a drill tool of a lathe using the current signal being provided to the spindle motor. A mathematical model to determine optimum time for tool replacement was also developed.
