EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

MANUFACTURING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
Responsible for the development and management of factories and departments (very small to large), diverse products (very low to high volume), and a plethora of manufacturing technologies. Processes include electronic and electromechanical assemblies, sheet metal operations, welding and machining, molding, printed circuit fabrication, and metal finishing (plating & painting). Implemented and maintained both ISO••••• and QS•••••/TE Quality System Programs.

MATERIALS AND PURCHASING
Negotiated major contracts with domestic and international suppliers for critical parts as well as for turn-key/outsourcing of components and services. Implemented dock-to-stock, just-in-time, and supplier partnering relationships to optimize material procurement flow and to reduce inventory-carrying costs.

ENGINEERING & NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Extensive experience in new product start-up. Initiated programs and methods by which new products can be introduced into production in record time to include volume ramp-ups to meet customer demand. Implemented quality programs to reduce product warranty cost exposure and improve profitability. Introduced process changes (Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Surface Mount Technology. Design for Manufacturability, etc.) and Plant & Equipment Modernization and Automation to improve quality and reduce costs.

NEW PLANT START-UPS, DOCUMENATION, TRAINING AND FACILITIES
Experienced in new plant start-ups (foreign & domestic) as well as performing plant/factory consolidations and closures to achieve the corporations goals and strategies. This includes identification of the costs and savings projections, identifying the pit-falls and resources required, production and transition planning, data base conversions, facilities constructions, employee communications, employee retention, recruitment and training and lastly schedule management.
