SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Operation of Power Plants
Performed control room operations such as start-up and shutdown of boilers and turbines and synchronization of generators
Actively involved in restoring power after blackout and energized the first unit to the grid
Maintained daily log of operation and prepared daily shift reports
Coordinated with load dispatch center for start-up, shutdown and load variation of generators
Operated fire fighting main and diesel pumps, jockey pumps and pressurization system
Supervised fuel oil unloading from tankers and fuel oil transfer
Operated boiler feed pumps, drum screen and rake and all auxiliary and ancillary system
Planned shutdown and start-up of units to carry out various tests such as load rejection, damper trip all feed water pump trip

Inspected in detail the piping according to the process and instrumentation drawing for instruments and test points
Involved in flushing of sea water intake lines, closed circuit cooling water, feed water, condensate system lubrication, hydraulic oil and fuel oil systems
Issued permits to work (Lockout / Tagout) for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil works
Reviewed and signed Safety Release Clearance Certificates - mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fire fighting systems, (plumbing) and was responsible for turnover from erection to commissioning
Coordinated energization of electrical switchgear, motor control centres and distribution boards

Gave clearances for the gas leak and CO2 discharge test for the GT and auxiliary enclosures
Setup the lubrication schedule for bearings of pumps and motor and prepared the list of alternate lubricating oil and grease
