Senior Project Manager
Managed and delivered multiple software projects with specific responsibilities including but not limited to, planning, issue and risk management, and coordination of all activities surrounding a project from its inception to completion. Tools utilized were MS Project to develop task level project plans, Sharepoint to store all documents related to the project, and SAP to generate reports on project teams productivity. Interfaced regularly with key project stakeholders such as Product Owners, Department Managers, Directors, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Leaders, Production Control Managers, Business Owners, and depending on the situations, the President of the customer to ensure on time delivery of the business solution required to ensure customer success.
Managed the development team, including offshore people resources, to ensure adherence to the design, development, testing and implementation phases and requirements of the project. Project teams ranged in size from three to over twenty members. The final project undertaken resulted in the development and implementation of a new web-based JAVA application that addressed credit card fraud. Project scope included the specification and purchase of hardware, security solutions including the development and implementation of new firewall rules, the training of Quality Assurance and Certification testers, documentation of the new application, and the development of implementation guidelines. The project team expanded over eight different work groups based in the US and India. In preparation for the project, worked closely with the Product Owner to develop a Business Plan to reflect the costs, runoff rate, depreciation expenses and potential revenue stream that could be generated through the $1M project.
