MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
With over ••••• years in management of new brands, brand awareness, sales, and business development and as a senior management team member, I was responsible for all strategic marketing and public relations initiatives to introduce a new name/brand for the credit union resulting in growing Ascentra Credit Union from a local $•••••M credit union into a $•••••M regional credit union located in four market areas with over •••••,••••• members in less than ••••• years. Built a nationally recognized multi-cultural marketing effort targeting the Latino and underserved in the Quad Cities region.
Served as the Marketing Chairperson for the Citizens For Strong Schools Referendum Committee passing a $•••••M Referendum for the Rock Island/Milan School District #••••• infrastructure repairs. This was the first referendum to pass in this •••••,••••• resident community in over ••••• years. It was rewarding to see the progress of the schools transform into a better learning atmosphere for the students.
Responsible for building a new marketing and public relations department managing all external communications for over ••••• city government departments, I also coordinating projects with state and federal programs affecting the City of Sioux City, IA. I worked directly with the US Army Corps of Engineers providing external communications on progress and construction project impacts on community members. It was enjoyable to turn a bad communications situation affecting community support into a positive outcome. I served as the crisis communications liaison preparing for Y2K.
