Retailer Billing is a web utility developed for AIGs Partner in Brazil Garanatech. The system was developed in Java (JDK•••••), Servlets, JSP, HTML. The data is stored in SYBASE (ASE•••••). The system is hosted on iPlanet Web Server. The entire user interface is implemented using JSPs with embedded Javascripts and static HTML. The system has the ability to display Crystal Reports. The system has the capability to display multi-language and can adapt to any international settings. Every interaction with the web server goes through a switching servlet, which recognizes the caller and passes on the control to the appropriate business objects. The business objects would contain all the necessary business logic necessary for the task. The database interactions are performed by entity objects. The entity objects are self-contained data objects, which have dedicated methods to search and persist entities. Each entity could comprise of one table or more than one tables. Business objects instantiate entity objects for any database activity. The system has a lot of Stored procedures written using T-SQL.
