Worked with interested parents and educators, local business and civic groups, and parent teacher organizations in neighboring towns. As Vice President of Byers PTO, duties included organizing and publicizing fund-raising events and activities, and organizing, publicizing, sponsoring and coaching extra-curricular, student enrichment, and athletic activities for Byers students. Resigned upon relocation.
Fall, ••••• spring, •••••: One of first founders of Rocky Mountain Academy of Evergreen Charter School, an excellent charter school in Colorado. Primary responsibilities focused on composition, research, and meetings. Wrote charter school mission statement, much of the Student Code of Conduct, almost all RMAE Rules of Governance, numerous press releases, and various applications for educational grants. Researched different curricula, helped select texts and support materials, and designed much of foreign language program. Arranged and helped to supervise countless meetings including those with: interested parents and educators; founders of other charter and option schools; local civic and business organizations; helpful officials from the Colorado League of Charter Schools; employees from organizations such as the Colorado Dept. of Education, and the Jefferson County Zoning Commission. Resigned upon relocation.
